MEET JALEESA

Jaleesa Capri is a Brooklyn-born actress whose work is defined by emotional depth, quiet power, and an undeniable on-screen presence. A summa cum laude graduate of Howard University, where she earned her B.F.A. in Theatre Arts (Acting), she brings both classical training and lived truth to every role she inhabits.

Her television work includes Blue Bloods (CBS), When They See Us (Netflix), and Inside the Black Box with Joe Morton and Tracey Moore. Whether in network, streaming, or independent film, Jaleesa is drawn to stories that explore the complexity of the human experience.

Classically trained at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England, and mentored by the legendary Al Freeman Jr., her work is grounded in discipline, intention, and emotional precision.

On stage, she has delivered compelling performances such as Beneatha Younger in A Raisin in the Sun and in the Audelco-nominated Playing With Fire with the Negro Ensemble Company. She is also permanently featured as a holographic storyteller in The Legacy Museum, where her portrayal of a historical slave narrative stands as part of the museum’s powerful, living history.

A proud member of SAG • AFTRA and Actors' Equity Association, Jaleesa embodies women of strength, vulnerability, and conviction—characters who navigate love, power, and moral complexity with grace and intensity. Her work is rooted in truth and driven by a deeper purpose: to tell stories that resonate, disrupt, and endure.
